The Capilano Tennis Club of Edmonton’s Mission Statement
The Edmonton Capilano Tennis Club Society’s mission is to build a stronger community by connecting players of all ages and skills and providing them with an enjoyable, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment in which to enjoy and improve their tennis skills.
As part of the Capilano Community League, the Capilano Tennis Club is located in Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory. We honour the traditional meeting grounds, gathering places and travelling routes of the First Peoples whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot and Métis who have a rich history on the land now known as Capilano. We are honoured to live and build community on this land and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this history.
Facilities
Our tennis club is conveniently situated in the Capilano neighbourhood of Edmonton, with four lighted plexipave tennis courts. A Tennis Pro is available for adult and junior group and private lessons. Recreational and competitive programs run throughout the summer months.
Memberships
We offer memberships for all ages and budgets. Membership fees are used to maintain the tennis courts, clubhouse, and general grounds, as well as retain a Tennis Pro who offers lessons and member only activities.
